Corpse Reviver No. 2

Equal parts gin, orange liqueur, Lillet and lemon, served in a glass rinsed with absinthe. Craddock's famous hair of the dog: bright, tart and faintly anise.

Ingredients

• ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
• ¾ oz Lillet Blanc
• ¾ oz Cointreau
• ¾ oz gin
• 1 barspoon absinthe, to rinse the glass

Steps

1. Rinse a coupe with 1 barspoon of absinthe: swirl to coat, then pour out the excess.
2. Fill the shaker with ice.
3. Add ¾ oz fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
4. Add ¾ oz Lillet Blanc to the shaker.
5. Add ¾ oz Cointreau to the shaker.
6. Add ¾ oz gin to the shaker.
7. Cap the shaker and shake hard for about 12 seconds.
8. Strain into the coupe.
9. Express an orange peel over the drink and drop it in.
